YSS Ganderbal hosts series of Sports Activities

GANDERBAL : The Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal is championing a vibrant sports culture throughout the district with a series of dynamic events.
The department successfully organized a zonal level football competition for girls under 17 at MM Stadium, Ganderbal Today.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all zones of the district, culminating in a thrilling final where Zone Ganderbal defeated Zone Kangan with a 2-1 score, securing the trophy.
A similar football competition for girls under 19 was held at GCOPE Gadoora, Ganderbal. In this event, Zone Ganderbal once again emerged victorious, defeating Zone Kangan with a decisive 2-0 victory.
Meanwhile, inter-school zonal level cricket competitions for boys under 17 were organized by Zone Ganderbal, Zone Kangan, and Zone Tullamulla. Zone Ganderbal hosted the event at MS Fatehpora, while Zone Kangan conducted Pool A at BMS Prang and Pool B at the Zonal Office Ground in Kijpara.
Zone Tullamulla successfully organized their event at BHSS Safapora. Today marked the successful commencement of these events in the respective zones, with the remaining matches scheduled for tomorrow.
YSS Ganderbal remains committed to fostering a robust sports culture among the youth.
The department strives to involve every school child in sports activities, promoting an active lifestyle and holistic development.
