Kupwara Gears Up for Independence Day Celebrations: ADC Kupwara Conducts Inspection at DPL Ground

Kupwara : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, IAS, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Kupwara, Mr. Mohd Rouf Rahman, JKAS, led a team of officers on a visit to the District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara to inspect the preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. The inspection aimed to review the arrangements being made by various departments for the full dress rehearsal on August 13th and the main function on August 15th.

The team included officers from the Police Department, Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Revenue Department, Municipal Committee Kupwara, and the Floriculture Department, among others. During the visit, ADC Rahman took a comprehensive tour of the DPL Ground, where the Independence Day events will be held.

ADC Rahman emphasized the importance of making foolproof arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations. He instructed all line departments to work in coordination to decorate the venue with multicolored flowers and shamiyanas (decorative tents). Additionally, he stressed the need for proper seating arrangements and the provision of essential amenities such as drinking water, especially considering the ongoing heatwave in the region.

The officers were directed to ensure that all preparations are completed well in advance to avoid any last-minute issues. The focus is on creating a comfortable and festive atmosphere for the public attending the celebrations.
