Assembly Elections-2024 Voter Awareness programme under SVEEP held at Pahalgam

ANANTNAG : To ensure active participation in the upcoming General Election Legislative Assembly (GELA-2024), a successful voter awareness programme under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative was held today at famous tourist destination Pahalgam.

The event was organized by the Nodal Officer SVEEP for Assembly Constituency 47-AC Pahalgam, under the guidance and direction of the District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag, SF.Hamid and Returning Officer 47-AC Pahalgam.
The programme saw an enthusiastic turnout from Panchayat Halqa Nowgam-A, Nowgam-B, and adjoining areas.
During the event, the Nodal Officer SVEEP emphasized the importance of voting. He highlighted the critical role each vote plays in shaping the future and ensuring a representative government. The programme particularly focused on educating first-time voters about their crucial role in the democratic process and the significance of their participation.
He also elaborated on various SVEEP interventions aimed at enhancing voter education, promoting informed and ethical voting practices, and ensuring that every eligible voter exercises their right to vote.
The event culminated in a mega rally, where participants, motivated by the programme, marched to encourage the general public to actively participate in the upcoming elections, reinforcing the message of the importance of every single vote.
