Two Individuals Apprehended with Illicit Liquor During Naka Checking in Kupwara

Kupwara : In the run-up to the General Elections to the Legislative Assembly 2024, Kupwara Police today apprehended two individuals during Naka checking near Sub-District Hospital, Kupwara. The individuals, identified as Farooq Ahmad Lone, son of Gh Mohd Lone, resident of Khumriyal, and Muneer Ahmad Khan, son of Ab Majeed Khan, resident of Zangli, Kupwara, were found in possession of 12 bottles of illicit liquor.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 209/24 U/S 50 of the Excise Act at Police Station Kupwara, and investigation has been set into motion.
