DCC/ DLRC meeting held at Bandipora

BANDIPORA : The District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the quarter June-2024 was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri in presence of Chairman District Development Council Bandipora, Abdul Gani Bhat.
At the beginning, Chairman DLRC commended the banks for their enrollment efforts in Social Security Schemes, highlighting that certain branches of J&K Bank had particularly excelled.
The Chairman DLRC expressed dissatisfaction over the ACP performance in the agriculture sector and instructed several public and private sector banks to intensify their efforts to achieve targets in the upcoming quarter.
The District has achieved 15% of ACP for the F-Y 24-25 by disbursing an amount of Rs 248.87 crores against the target of 1691.29 crores, for F-Y 24-25 with both sectors contributing equally with PSI showing achievement of Rs 122 crores and NPSL showing achievement of 127 crores.
The DC directed all the banks to ensure minimum achievement of 75% against the allocated target by December end.
He also directed the concerned to improve the number of cases under the HADP scheme, ensure 100% coverage of KCC smart cards, intensity processing of cases under AIF & AHIDF and reduce the rejection rate besides retaining cases by the banks which ultimately become huge bottlenecks in achieving targets.
He impressed upon Agriculture and Horticulture departments to expedite the identification and sponsorship of cases to banks, ensuring the complete Saturation of KCC Schemes.
The DC also instructed all banks to strengthen their lending in the social sector, and education sector by improving collaboration with stakeholders for investment in these areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC instructed all banks and departments to vigorously participate in jan suraksha campaign which has been started in each gram panchayat of the district for achieving saturation by enrolling maximum number of applications under SSS.
Among others the meeting was attended by ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, LDM Shamim Ahmad, AGM RBI, DDM NABARD and representatives from all banks and departments.
