Secretary DLSA Ganderbal reviews progress of legal aid beneficiaries

GANDERBAL : Under the directions of Abdul Nasir, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, Sheikh Babar Hussain today conducted a review meeting with Legal Aid Defense Counsels and Panel lawyers of District Ganderbal to discuss the status and progress of assigned cases of legal aid beneficiaries.
The meeting aimed to assess the current status, address challenges, and explore ways to enhance the delivery of free and competent legal services to the needy and the marginalized sections of the society.
Secretary DLSA emphasized the importance of providing free and competent legal services to marginalized communities, especially women, children, senior citizens, and victims of domestic violence.
During the meeting, he also discussed key aspects including, review of pending cases and strategies for expedition’s disposal of cases, enhancing access to justice for marginalized sections of society and increasing awareness about available legal services.
Secretary DLSA urged the Legal Aid Defense Counsels and panel lawyers to work diligently towards ensuring justice for all beneficiaries, emphasizing the crucial role of legal aid in empowering vulnerable communities particularly in the District Ganderbal.
