Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Mohd Rouf Rahman today visited the District Jail Kupwara to look into the conditions of jail inmates including living atmosphere & health facilities available to the prisoners.
On the occasion, the ADC interacted with almost 400 jail animates and took a round of Barracks & some offices like Administration Block, Health Section, Playfield, Dental Section, Water Storage Area and entire campus of the District Jail. He recommended for immediate deputation of a Dental Doctor fortnightly to have a check up of jail animates, besides, Microbiologist & a Medical officer to have a testing & control of Skin & water borne disease.
The District Jail Superintendent, Shahbaz Ahmad apprised the visiting officer about the facilities, demands and working environment of the Jail Complex.
