AKAM: Cultural Unit Kashmir, DIC Pulwama organize Short Play at BHSS Pulwama

PULWAMA : The Cultural Unit Kashmir, DIPR in collaboration with District Information Centre Pulwama today organized a Short Play (Nukad Natak) under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM) and recently launched campaign ‘Meri Maati, Mera  Desh’ at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Pulwama.

Day 5 of DA-JGUA witnesses enthusiastic participation at Satrina, Kangan

Noted artists of Tulkul Arts and students of BHSS Pulwama and Girls Higher Secondary School Pulwama performed various Cultural items and Nukad Natak regarding National Integration and inculcating the spirit of patriotism among the audiences. They also highlighted the contribution of national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sake of freedom of nation through their performances viz. Patriotic Chorus, Skit, poetry and speeches.

Besides, the artists from Tulkul Arts theatre also raised awareness on social evils including drug abuse prevalent in society.

Addressing the gathering, the District Information Officer (DIO) Pulwama, Nowshad Ahmad highlighted the significance of celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate India’s 77th Independence Day. He stressed upon the students to participate in more such events to instill spirit of patriotism among themselves.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal BHSS appreciated the Department of Information and Public Relations J&K for organizing such a live show and said that such live performances enhance patriotism in the younger generation.

Certificates of Appreciation and Mementos were distributed among the artists, student performers as a mark of appreciation for their talent.
