AKAM: DDC Kupwara distributes 151 Motorized Tricycles among Specially-abled beneficiaries, hands over engagement orders of AWWs among 49 candidates

Kupwara: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan distributed 151 motorized tricycles among specially abled persons at DC office complex here today under District Disability Rehabilitation Centres (DDRC) scheme as a culmination to Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The District Development Commissioner interacted with disabled persons and said that the Government is extending special care and assistance to persons with special abilities and district administration is fully committed to fulfill the needs of every section of Society.
DDC while congratulating the beneficiaries handed over motorized tricycles along with their keys to the beneficiaries.
DDC was accompanied by ADC Kupwara, Gh.Nabi Bhat; DDC Member Hayhama, Haji Sonwallah Khan; DDC Member Nutnoosa, Adv. Zahoor Ahmad, DDC Member Kalaroos, Ch. Mustaffa Deaded
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the motive behind the distribution of these tricycles is to empower the specially-abled persons. She also asked the beneficiaries to avail benefits entailed under various self-employment schemes of Government for their livelihood
DDC stressed upon the beneficiaries to apply all safety gears and always use a helmet while driving the Motorized tricycles.
Earlier, District Development Commissioner Kupwara handed over engagement orders of Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) among 49 candidates of 11 Poshan Blocks of the district in presence of ADC Kupwara, Gh. Nabi Bhat and CDPOs.
