ALC Kupwara Holds Meeting with Migrant Labourers to Address Welfare and Insurance Concerns

Kupwara : In a proactive step toward strengthening labour welfare, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Kupwara, Arshid qadir Bhat, convened a meeting with migrant labourers today. The session focused on addressing key issues including welfare measures, insurance coverage, and promoting awareness of workers’ rights.

The initiative, supported by the District Administration Kupwara, aimed to foster open dialogue and build trust between authorities and the labour community. ALC Arshid Bhat emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensuring dignified and secure working conditions for all labourers in the district.

The meeting also included discussions on government schemes available to migrant workers and the importance of registration for accessing benefits.
