ALC presents Rs 69.81 lakh cheque to DDC Gbl for disbursement among registered construction workers

GANDERBAL : The Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Ganderbal today presented a cheque to the tune of Rs. 69.81 lakh to the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir for the disbursement among the registered construction workers of the district, benefitting 1323 children.

The ALC informed the DDC that his office has received 7081 applications during the financial year 2022-23, out of which 4370 application have been approved and assistance to the tune of Rs. 1,97,83,000 stands disbursed

and 2154 application were reverted back due to the document deficiencies, which are pending at the applicants end.

Further, the office of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ganderbal disbursed other financial assistances to the beneficiaries under various schemes like Chronic Assistance scheme Rs 2,26,716, Death Assistance, Rs 14,00,000 and Disability Assistance Rs 30,000.

Further, the DDC recognizing the importance of the labour force for the progress of the district and expressed his satisfaction at the successful disbursement of funds.

He reiterated his commitment to cultivating an inclusive and

a prosperous environment, ensuring the welfare of workers remains a top priority.

The DDC extended his appreciation to the ALC for his relentless efforts in driving positive change within the labour sector.

The DDC on the occasion stressed upon the speedy disposal of pending cases under different schemes.
