Handwara : The All Jammu and Kashmir Contingent Paid Workers (CPW) and Cook Employees Education Union staged a peaceful protest in Handwara, demanding the implementation of minimum wages as per the guidelines set out in SRO 308.
During the demonstration, the union members expressed their deep concerns over the delay in addressing their long-pending demands. They emphasized their ongoing struggle for fair wages and equitable treatment, underscoring the critical need to bring their salaries in line with the standards outlined in SRO 308.
The protesting employees urged the government to take immediate steps to resolve their grievances, highlighting the financial hardships faced by many due to the absence of a standardized wage structure.
