Animal Husbandry Gbl organizes Awareness program on HADP

DC distributes seed kits, milking machine among HADP beneficiaries

GANDERBAL :  Awareness regarding Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) was on thursday organized in the veterinary Campus of the Animal Husbandry Department, Duderhama Ganderbal by the Animal Husbandry Department Ganderbal.

The function was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir as chief guest along with Principal Para Training Institute Ganderbal, Dr Ab Rashid Kumar; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Ganderbal, Dr Sheikh Abrar Hassan; Manager Govt Poultry Farm Kangan, Block Veterinary Officer Kangan and other officials. Various progress livestock breeders of the district were also present.

At the outset of the program, a brief outline about HADP was presented by the CAHO Ganderbal. He also briefed the audience regarding various schemes available with the department.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC commended and appreciated the work of the department under various schemes like HADP, IDDS, KCC and other schemes of the Animal Husbandry Department in the district. He also acknowledged the departmental activities in uplifting the poor and downtrodden farmer’s of the district.

In order to make the Milk Chilling Plant Choutwaliwar at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh under SCA to TSS functional, the DC handed over Milk Refrigerated van, 15KVA Generator set, Bulk Milk Cooler 2000 Ltr capacity, automatic Milk Collection Unit and other accessories to the Chairman Milk Producers Dairy Cooperative Society Ltd Chountwaliwar.

On the occasion, the DC also distributed seed kits and milking machine among the HADP beneficiaries of the district.
