HANDWARA : Returning Officer AC 5-Handwara & Additional District Magistrate Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather today, visited several polling stations of Zachaldara Tehsil including new polling station of Rajpora in order to check the status of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) so that the voters do not face any inconvenience in exercising their vote.

The RO also inspected government schools of Education Zone Rajwar including BMS Wadipora where he interacted with the staff and students. He asked the school authorities to provide all required facilities to students besides quality education.
The ADC was accompanied by Block Development Officer Rajwar and other officers.
Assembly Elections 2024: Bandipora Admin Conducts First Randomisation of Poll Staff
Bandipora, September 03: In preparation for the General Elections to the Legislative Assembly 2024, the first randomisation of poll staff was held today at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The randomisation was conducted under the supervision of the District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, using dedicated software designed for this purpose. This step ensures transparency and allocates poll staff to assembly constituencies without human interference.
DEO M. A. Qadri stated that the randomisation marks a pivotal step in preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, ensuring a fair and unbiased allocation of poll staff. This is crucial for maintaining public trust in the electoral process and upholding the highest standards of transparency.
Among others, Deputy District Election Officer Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, RO 15-Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, Chief Education Officer Kishore Kumar, District Information Officer Aadil Manzoor Wani, DIO Informatics, and other concerned officials were present.
