BARAMULLA : With an aim to foster greater electoral participation in the upcoming Assembly Elections, a spirited SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) rally was flagged-off today from Showkat Ali Sports Stadium, Baramulla.
The rally was flagged-off by the Returning Officer (RO) for 10-Baramulla Assembly Constituency (AC), Arshad Ahmad Khan, in the presence of the Nodal Officer for SVEEP Baramulla and other officers who enthusiastically took part in the rally along with the new voters.
After passing through the town of Baramulla, the rally culminated at the Dak Bungalow, witnessing the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of new voters, carrying banners and placards, raising voter awareness and encouraging maximum voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the rally, Arshad Ahmad Khan underscored the critical role that new voters play in the democratic process, stressing that it is our collective responsibility to exercise this right with care and accountability.
He further highlighted the importance of each vote in shaping the future, urging all new voters to approach their civic duty with a deep sense of responsibility.
This rally is part of a broader series of initiatives under the SVEEP program, aimed at increasing voter turnout and ensuring free, fair, and informed elections. The district administration, in collaboration with local educational institutions, is working tirelessly to engage voters of all age groups and ensure that no eligible voter is left behind.
