Awantipora Police organises awareness programme on New Criminal Laws at IUST Awantipora

Awantipora : In pursuance to directions of Police Headquarters Jammu and Kashmir Srinagar, a seminar was organized for spreading awareness regarding reforms in new Criminal Laws among students of Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar- JKPS. The programme is aimed to educate and inform the students about the recent amendments and additions to the criminal laws, ensuring that they are well-aware about the new legal framework. During the session, Addl. SP Awantipora Shri Rashid Younis-JKPS, SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali- JKPS, Dy.SP DAR Awantipora Shri Abdul Gafoor- JKPS, Sr.PO Wasseem Ahmad Shah , Sr. PO Hilal Ahmad elucidated the nuances of the new laws, providing clarity on their implementations and emphasizing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for the maintenance of law and order in society. More stress was laid on reforms brought in new Criminal Laws.

The programme witnessed active participation from the students of IUST Awantipora, who engaged in interactive sessions, seeking clarifications and expressing their queries regarding the new legal provisions.

During the programme Register IUST Awantipora Prof. Waseem Ahmad Bari and senior faculty members of IUST Awantipora were also present.

Students of IUST lauded the efforts of Awantipora Police for organising such informative awareness programmes.
