Awantipora Police Seized 05 Tippers and Arrested 05 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Khrew

Awantipora : In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police Awantipora have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the Police district Awantipora and has seized 05 vehicles used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals and Arrested 05 Persons in wuyan and Khrew.

Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police party of Police Station Khrew seized five tippers and dumpers bearing registration numbers
JK01F-6266,JK01H-425, JK04C-5897, JK13C-1869 & JK02BC-4548

Driven by following persons:
1) Ashraf Kuttan s/o Abdullah R/o Panthachowk Srinagar

2) Mudaisr wani s/o Mohd Akbar R/o Panthachowk Srinagar

3)Hazim Manzoor Bhat s/o Manzoor Ahmad Bhat R/O sharshali.

4) Shahid Ahmad Teli S/o Farooq Ah teli R/o khrew.

5)Rameez Ahmad khanday S/o Ab Majeed khanday R/o Ladhoo

Accordingly, case FIR NOs 34/2025 and 35/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khrew and further investigation has been initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.“`
