Awantipora Police Seized 06 Tippers and 01 JCB involved in illegal extraction of minerals in Pampore

Awantipora : In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining Police Awantipora seized 06 tippers and 01 JCB used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.

Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police party of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Naieem Rashid under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Shri RP Singh seized six tippers bearing registration numbers JK04B-0511,JK16-4199, JK13A-5299, JK01P-3017, JKOIL-9127,JK13B-7470 and 01 JCB without number plate.

Accordingly, case vide FIR NOs. 47/2025 and 48/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated.

Police is committed to take action against violators who are taking undue advantage of night hours by extracting minerals illegally to the detriment of people health, the ecology and the revenue of the government. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.“`
