Awareness programme on PM-FME held at Fruit Mandi, Kupwara

KUPWARA : As part of Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing (HP&M),  District Kupwara today organized a day long awareness programme regarding Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprise Scheme (PM-FME) at Kupwara.

At the outset, Nodal Officer PM-FME/Area Marketing Officer Kupwara, Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar highlighted the importance of spreading awareness among the public for motivating them to start entrepreneurial units. He also stressed on encouraging existing unit holders to expand their business by availing the benefits of the scheme with the help of financial institutions.

Manager J&K Bank Kupwara Main and District Resource Person of PM-FME, Riffat shared information about the scheme and importance of One District One Product (ODOP) to generate employment. Modalities and procedure for formation of cases to avail benefits with subsidy for establishment of entrepreneur units of PM-FME were also highlighted.
