BBBP: SHEW Shopian organises Awareness camps at Chotipora & Saidpora Shopian Distributes stationary kits among students

SHOPIAN : In alignment with the nationwide ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) initiative, the Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW) Shopian today conducted two impactful awareness programs at GHS, Chotipora and GUPS, Saidpora in the district.
These programs aimed at fostering awareness on the importance of protecting and educating the girl child and advocating gender equality as an essential pillar for societal progress.
SHEW Shopian’s team delivered talks emphasizing the need to support girls’ education and empowerment, highlighting how gender equality is integral to building a progressive society.
During these events, SHEW also distributed stationary kits and school bags to underprivileged girls, providing them with essential resources for their educational journey and underscoring SHEW’s commitment to removing obstacles that limit girls’ access to education.
These efforts are part of the broader goals of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign, which strives to eliminate gender bias, ensure equal opportunities, and promote a supportive environment for girls in education.
