Block Diwas: DC Bandipora tours far flung areas of Block Aloosa

Takes on spot review of repair work on PMGSY road after recent rainfall

BANDIPORA : In a move to enhance community engagement, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Wednesday toured far flung areas of Block Aloosa, including Malangam and other adjacent areas.

The tour as part of Block Diwas was aimed to bring the administration closer to the people, actively listening to their concerns and implementing transformative solutions to address their needs.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that direct interaction with citizens serves as a unique platform for citizens to voice their opinions, share their aspirations, and actively participate in shaping the future of their communities besides allowing administration to  gather valuable insights to ensure that policies and initiatives are tailored to meet the specific needs of the area.

During the visit, Dr Owais inspected various ongoing developmental works and also took on site inspection of recently damaged Malanagam Bala road.

The DC directed Ex. Engineer PMGSY to immediately put up the necessary measures for repairing the damaged road.

He also visited Middle school Malangam Bala and interacted with students and teachers besides taking feedback from students.

On the way to different areas, the DC interacted with PRIs and the general public and listened to their issues.

He assured redressal of all genuine public issues within the shortest possible time.

The DC was accompanied by Nodal Officer Coordination M Ashraf Hakak, DDC Aloosa Meewa Jan, JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Muzaffar Ahmad, Executive Engineers of various Department, Tehsildar Bandipora Sheikh Tariq, BDO Aloosa, PRIs and other concerned.
