Block Diwas: DC Shopian visits Sarbal, Devpora; holds interaction with the public

SHOPIAN : Under the weekly Block Diwas initiative of government, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today visited Sarbal, Devpora, Shadab and Zawoora villages of the district and chaired a Public Outreach programme to take stock of issues and Grievances of people at their doorsteps.

People of Sarbal and Devpora areas flagged-off various developmental issues and grievances with the DC which mainly included drinking water availability, better road connectivity and macadamization. Concerned DDC member was also pressed on the occasion.

The DC listened to all public issues and demands patiently and assured the public for appropriate and time bound action.

Later, the DC visited Shadab Nursery and CAMPA Closure at Kareewa Zawoora and instructed forest authorities for proper and optimal utilisation of afforestation and regeneration activities going on in the area in order to promote forest coverage for better environmental dividends.

DFO, Ex. Engineers of PHE and PMGSY, ARTO, JEs and other concerned staff accompanied the DC.
