Kupwara, Feb 22: Inhabitants of Bohipora village in Kupwara town on Tuesday accused authorities of failing to maintain the vital road that connects the two villages.
The residents said the road is full of potholes, due to which the residents living in the locality are facing tremendous hardships.
They said, “There can not be much injustice to our village, which is barely one mile from the main town of Kupwara, but continues to be overlooked.”
Another local claimed that while road macadamization was taking place in several parts of the district, the hamlet was once again ignored.
We are regularly appealing to the concerned department to macadamize our road, but no one is paying attention to our problems, locals added.
The vital stretch, according to residents, leads to important destinations such as the Government Degree College in Kupwara. ” The students have also expressed their dissatisfaction with the road’s state. ”
The residents of the area have urged the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara to intervene in the matter at the earliest.
