Kupwara : In an effort to broaden the horizons of young minds, 127 Battalion BSF, under Sector Headquarter BSF Kupwara, has dispatched 14 students, accompanied by 02 teachers, on a Bharat Darshan Tour to Bangalore and Mysore by air.
According to officials, “The group comprises 07 girls and 07 boys, with 06 students hailing from Govt High School Dabpal and 08 from Govt Middle School Katwar.”
They said this is the first-time participation of female students in the Bharat Darshan Tour.
Brig(Retd) M D Upadhyay, DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara, ceremoniously flagged off the tour in the presence of Jhagir Chand, Comdt 127 Bn BSF, Ahamed Farooque, Zonal Education Officer Khumriyal, officers, troops, parents, teachers, and excited students.
The itinerary includes visits to prominent institutions such as ISRO, BEML, Infosys, Rail Museum, Botanical Garden, Vidan Sabha, Karnataka Police Academy, Chamundi Hills, Mysore Palace, Tipu Sultan Museum, Zoo, and other prominent places in Bangalore and Mysore.
The objective of the Bharat Darshan Tour is to expose students to the rich cultural diversity and heritage of the country, fostering a broader perspective. The initiative aims to inspire students by providing insights into various academic and professional opportunities available nationwide. This unique exposure is expected to enhance their understanding and appreciation of India’s multilingual diversity.
