BUDGAM : The District Development Council (DDC) Budgam jointly with Mission Youth Jammu and Kashmir today organized an enlightening one-day awareness programme at Town Hall Beerwah.

The event focused on engaging discussions addressing crucial topics including drug abuse and various self-employment schemes.

During the event, Chairman DDC Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan delivered an impactful address to the youth present, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness among youth regarding the challenges posed by drug abuse and unemployment.

He highlighted the necessity of equipping the youth with knowledge to effectively navigate these pressing issues.

The event witnessed the active participation of key dignitaries, including Tabish Saleem, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Mission Youth; Taufeeq Qazi, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Beerwah; Nazir Ahmad Khan, President MC Beerwah; and students from Degree College Beerwah and SAM College Beerwah.

The discussions were geared towards fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the youth and exploring viable solutions, particularly in combating drug abuse and promoting self-employment opportunities.

The event concluded on a positive note, aiming to inspire and equip the youth with the knowledge and tools necessary to contribute meaningfully to their communities and society at large.
