Chairman DDC B’pora holds council meet, reviews progress of developmental schemes

BANDIPORA : The chairman District Development Council Bandipora Ab Gani Bhat, on Monday chaired DDC council meeting at Mini secretariat Bandipora to review the progress of developmental schemes implemented in District Bandipora.

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson Kousar Shafeeq, DDC members, ADDC Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, ACD Irfan Bahadur, and senior officers from various departments.
The meeting focused on assessing the progress of developmental works and threadbare discussed various issues of developmental schemes of district Bandipora.
Chief Executive Officer District Development Council Bandipora/ADDC Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt presented a detailed powerpoint presentation outlining schemes and projects currently underway beisdes their physical and financial status.
The meeting was informed that, District Capex Budget for the year 2024-25 has been fixed at Rs 6800.64 Lakhs for which works / activities have been identified for improvement of Rural Infrastructure, Electrification networks, drinking water facilities, Augmentation of infrastructure in educational institutions and other works of public importance.
During the meeting, DDC members raised a number of issues concerning their respective constituencies, urging for quick resolutions and the timely completion of ongoing projects.
DDC members collectively urged the concerned departments to prioritize and expedite the pace of developmental work , ensuring that the people’s needs are met without delay.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DDC, Ab Gani Bhat emphasized the importance of ensuring the timely and efficient completion of all developmental schemes in the district.
He urged the concerned departments to maintain coordination and ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the public as early as possible beisdes stressed the need for accelerating the pace of work on developmental projects to prioritize their timely completion.
