Chairman DDC Kupwara reviews progress of works under District Capex Budget 2024-25

KUPWARA: Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori today chaired the council meeting in the meeting Hall of DC Office Complex to review the progress of various developmental projects under District CAPEX Budget 2024-25.

Vice-Chairman, District Development Council, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir; ADC Kupwara, Mohd Rouf Rehman; Members of District Development Council, besides, District and Sectoral Officers attended the meeting.
At the outset, the CPO Kupwara, presented a detailed overview of the ongoing and completed projects under District CAPEX Budget 2024-25 including sectors like Minor Irrigation, R&B, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Youth Services & Sports, Health, PHE, NFB, United Grants, ADF (DDC/BDC/PRI grants) and Samridh Seema Yojna.
The meeting was informed that total approved outlay 2024-25 involves 67907.37 lakh, and funds released as on date is Rs.50630.33 lakh and expenditure till date is Rs.39846.77 lakh which is 78.70 %.
The chairman took a detailed review of the physical and financial status of works taken up under the District Capex schemes and other sectors.
During the meeting, council members projected various issues of their respective constituencies.
After reviewing the sector wise progress of the works, the Chairman impressed upon district level Officers of all departments to speed up the pace of ongoing development projects, keeping in view the less time available in the closure of the current financial year. The Chairman enjoined upon the officers to work with greater coordination and zeal to finish the targets within the timeframe.
On the occasion, the Vice Chairman, District Development Council also asked the officers to put in their best efforts for timely completion of works for optimum utilization of funds under different schemes.
ADC Kupwara also spoke and asked the officers to be responsive to the public, actively address their genuine needs and embrace the role as public servants. He emphasized officers for accountability, empathy, and prioritization of proactive service and public welfare.
