BANDIPORA : As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), the district administration Bandipora on Wednesday organized a series of awareness and benefit saturation camps across the Gurez sub-division, reaffirming its commitment to tribal welfare and inclusive development.
The camps were held at HSS Kanzalwan, KGBV Gurez, and BHSS Dawar, drawing enthusiastic participation from tribal residents of these remote areas. These events marked a significant step in bringing government services and information to the doorsteps of beneficiaries in the border villages.
On the occasion, various government departments participated in these camps, offering on-the-spot services, enrolment assistance, and awareness on key welfare initiatives.
Departments including Health, Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal & Sheep Husbandry facilitated on-the-spot services and registrations under flagship schemes such as PMAY, PM-KISAN, Ujjwala Yojana, pension schemes, and educational scholarships.
These outreach activities are part of a 15-day district-wide DAJGUA campaign, covering 31 notified tribal villages under DAJGUA, aimed at achieving 100% saturation of welfare schemes and fostering empowerment in tribal communities.
