BUDGAM : As part of the ongoing outreach under the Dharti Aabha Abhiyan, a Gram Sabha was conducted today at Panchayat Frestwar Village Shalnar, a tribal area in Block Khansahib.
The program is aimed at achieving 100% saturation of government schemes in tribal villages, with a focus on 25 interventions across 17 line departments.
During the event, all line departments actively participated and engaged with the local community. Representatives from various departments briefed the public on the eligibility and benefits of their respective welfare schemes. Emphasis was laid on identifying and addressing gaps to ensure full coverage under each intervention.
Gram Sabha witnessed enthusiastic participation from the tribal population. Locals appreciated the efforts of the administration and highlighted the need for such focused outreach programs, which help in bridging awareness gaps and enabling access to entitlements.
In addition to the awareness drive, on-spot registration for several schemes was carried out. These included Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G), Kisan Credit Cards, Swadesh Darshan Guest Homes, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jal Jeevan Mission’s Functional Household Tap Connections (JJM FHTC), and Ayushman Bharat–PMJAY Health Cards.
The event served as a vital platform for direct communication between citizens and government functionaries, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to inclusive development in tribal areas.
