GANDERBAL : As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) under the broader umbrella of PM JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan), the fourth outreach and benefit saturation camp was successfully held today at Panchayat Margund of block Kangan, Ganderbal.
The day featured a significant awareness and service delivery camp organized by the IEC team, aimed at empowering tribal communities through on-the-spot delivery of government entitlements and deeper understanding of welfare schemes.
A large turnout of local tribal residents reflected strong community interest and ownership of the initiative.
The camp offered a comprehensive mix of services, including Aadhaar enrolment and updates, Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY registration, issuance of Scheduled Tribe Certificates, PM-KISAN scheme enrolment, Jan Dhan account opening, Sickle Cell disease screening and awareness, other mission-linked benefits.
In addition to service delivery, IEC team conducted interactive awareness sessions that educated participants on schemes related to health, education, skill development, and livelihood support. These sessions also served as platforms for attendees to voice concerns and seek clarifications regarding their entitlements.
A highlight of the event was the cultural performances that celebrated tribal heritage, promoting unity and pride among participants. Educational pamphlets in local languages were distributed to ensure accessibility and wider reach.
Key speakers from among the officials and local leaders stressed the importance of preserving tribal identity while embracing modern opportunities.
The event was attended by sectoral and block-level officers, PRIs, frontline workers, and CSCs, showcasing strong inter-departmental convergence and field-level coordination.
Community elders expressed appreciation, calling the camp a bridge between governance and grassroots awareness.
The camp concluded on a note of renewed collective commitment towards tribal empowerment, equity, and development in Ganderbal.
