DC Anantnag inspects Healthcare & Education facilities in district

Stresses on optimal Asset utilization

ANANTNAG : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, SF Hamid Thursday conducted a visit to several public institutions in the area, including the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Arwani, Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara, and the Government Higher Secondary School Arwani.

At PHC Arwani, the DC inspected the healthcare facilities and services being provided to the local community. He met  medical staff there and inquired about the availability of essential medicines, equipment, besides other necessary supplies.

He also checked the status of the ongoing healthcare programs in the area.

The DC also visited SDH Bijbehara, where he inspected the functioning of the hospital and interacted with the doctors and paramedical staff. He took stock of the infrastructure and equipment available in the hospital and discussed the challenges faced by the medical personnel in providing quality healthcare services to the patients.

Later, the DC visited Government Higher Secondary School Arwani, where he interacted with the school staff and students. He inspected the school’s infrastructure and facilities, including the classrooms, labs, and playgrounds.

SF Hamid emphasized the importance of education in the overall development of the community and urged the school authorities to focus on providing quality education to the students.

The DC’s visit was aimed to assess the functioning of the public institutions in the area and identify the gaps and challenges that need to be addressed to improve the delivery of essential services to the local community.
