DC Bandipora reviews preparations for Independence Day- 2023 celebrations

BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Tuesday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the preparations for celebration of I-Day, 2023.

The meeting discussed various preparations and arrangements to be put in place for the celebration of Independence Day-2023.

It was given out that the main function of Independence Day will be held at SK Stadium Bandipora while similar functions will be held at sub divisional level and block level as well as at all Schools, Colleges, Government Institutions, Panchayats etc.

Dr. Owais directed the concerned to keep ready all the necessary arrangements including seating arrangements, PA system, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, Medicare facilities, cleanliness and sanitation and other required arrangements.

The DC instructed concerned to ensure that all arrangements are made in advance for celebrations of Independence Day.

He asked the R&B department to prepare the stage and make preparations for flag hoisting.

Dr Owais stressed upon officers to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth celebrations of Independence Day. He directed the concerned that the preparations and training for contingents should be started as soon as possible.

The DC strictly directed all the sectoral and district officers for flag hoisting at their respective offices, besides illuminating their offices and buildings. He also directed for the illumination of major bridges across the district.

The meeting was attended by Nodal Officer Coordination Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Umar Shafi Pandit, CO CRPF 3rd Battalion, ACR Bandipora, JD Planning Bandipora, DySP DAR, DySP HQ Bandipora and other concerned officers from Police Army and civil administration.
