BARAMULLA : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review action plans and preparations for smooth and successful conduct of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

Pertinently, scheduled for launch on the 20th of November in Baramulla, this campaign aims to saturate flagship government-sponsored schemes within the district.

During the meeting, the DC directed the Officers to ensure maximum public participation, particularly youth in Yatra which is aimed to raise awareness about the Government’s achievements and extend benefits of Centrally Sponsored Schemes among beneficiaries.

It was informed that Digital Vans will traverse all Panchayats delivering the Prime Minister’s message and hosting promotional events. It was also informed that district administration has prepared a comprehensive schedule to cover all blocks and urban areas, with Nodal Officers assigned specific duties for a smooth yatra passage.

The meeting was informed that the campaign will leverage Information, Education & Communication (IEC) vans, video visuals, mobile apps, pamphlets, booklets and other means of communication to disseminate crucial information and generate widespread publicity about these schemes.

Underlining the collaborative nature of the endeavor, the DC urged every department to actively participate in the campaign. Each department was tasked with appointing a dedicated nodal officer responsible for overseeing the dissemination of scheme-related information to eligible yet uncovered individuals.

Furthermore, the DC directed the line departments to diligently upload their daily activities on a dedicated campaign portal, ensuring transparent and regular updates on the ongoing efforts.

Additional Deputy commissioner Baramulla, Dr.Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Joint Director Planning,  M.Yousuf Rather;  Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development besides functionaries of all concerned departments were present in the meeting.
