DC B’la chairs District Level Screening cum Coordination Committee meeting, 34 cases approved

BARAMULLA : A District Level Screening cum Coordination Committee (DLSCC) meeting was today chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa.
The meeting focused on reviewing cases under ex-gratia relief, SRO-43, and the Central Scheme for Assistance to Militancy Victims (CSACV). A total of 36 cases were examined, with 34 approved for immediate sanction.
An amount of Rs. 94 lacs was sanctioned across these cases to support eligible beneficiaries. Additionally, four cases were approved for appointments under SRO-43, underscoring the district administration’s commitment to providing relief to families affected by militancy and violence.
Under the Ex-Gratia Scheme, 16 cases were reviewed, and 15 were approved with a total sanction of Rs. 29.00 lac. In the SRO-43 category, 15 cases were reviewed. Out of these, 14 cases were approved, with 10 sanctioned for Rs. 40.00 lac and four approved for appointment. The Central Scheme for Assistance to Militancy Victims (CSACV) included five cases, all of which were approved with a total sanction of Rs. 25 lacs.
Two cases were referred to higher authorities for further clarification and action. The DC emphasized the importance of prompt support to affected families and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to resolving such cases swiftly.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, ASP Baramulla, DSP Sopore and officers from BSF, CRPF, and other security agencies, along with senior officials from various departments.
