DC B’la lays foundation stone for Warehouse dedicated for EVM storage at Tehsil Office premises

BARAMULLA : In a move aimed to enhance election related infrastructure in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today laid the foundation stone for a warehouse dedicated to the storage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at the Tehsil Office Premises, Baramulla.
The new warehouse is set to be constructed by the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department at an estimated cost of Rs.362.5 lakhs.
This investment reflects the administration’s future preparedness and commitment to ensuring the security and proper maintenance of EVMs, which are essential for the smooth conduct of elections.
The warehouse is designed to meet the highest standards of safety and functionality, ensuring that the EVMs are kept in optimal conditions. The construction project will be closely monitored to ensure it meets all stipulated deadlines and quality benchmarks.
The R&B department has been entrusted with the construction of the project, ensuring that every aspect of the building meets the stringent requirements essential for this critical facility.
