DC Budgam approves electricity hotlines for several healthcare centres

Also approves toilet facilities for Primary Schools, buffer stock of Power Transformers

BUDGAM : In a move towards optimal utilization of available resources, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam Akshay Labroo today chaired District Mineral Fund (DMFT) meeting to deliberate on the judicious allocation of the District Mineral Funds for developmental schemes in district.

At the outset, District Mineral Officer (DMO) Budgam provided an overview of the available funds.
The meeting encompassed a detailed discussion on the utilization of funds for critical developmental projects in district.
Key proposals approved during the meeting included the provision and augmentation of 24 by 7 Electricity Hot Line system for SDH Kremshore, SDH Chattergam, SDH Pakherpora, PHC Ompora, PHC Soibugh, and PHC Khag.
Also, a buffer stock of 15 additional Transformers was approved in favour of KPDCL Budgam which shall improve the power infrastructure in district and will also improve provision of electricity to the people by reducing the time taken to repair the damaged transformers.
The meeting also highlighted the need for upgradation of basic amenities, such as electricity and toilet facilities in educational institutions and approved the same for Primary schools of Kuzwera, Bagh-e-Sail, and Gopalpora schools.
These initiatives are aimed at enhancing local & critical infrastructure and shall improve the overall quality of services.
DC also directed DMO for the meticulous and effective implementation of the approved plan for its timely implementation on ground.
The meeting was attended by CPO Budgam, CMO, CEO, ACD, DMO, DSWO, Executive Engineer R&B , KPDCL, PHE Budgam besides other members of the Committee.
