BUDGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo friday inaugurated a children’s park, a senior citizen’s park and open gym facility at Migrant Pandit Colony, Sheikhpora.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the District Administration Budgam, under the directions of Hon’ble LG Administration has contributed and developed twin Parks within the Sheikhpora colony to ensure better facilities to the residents here.
The DC said that the same was demanded by the members during the last interaction with them.
He complimented officers of the concerned executing agency for completing the development of these parks in a short span of time and dedicating the same to the families residing at the Migrant Pandit Colony.
He said that under the directions of Hon’ble LG Administration, the District Administration is focusing on creation of various other infrastructure projects to provide better facilities to the Kashmiri pandits, Kashmiri migrants and PM- package employees at Sheikhpora.
During his visit to Kashmiri Pandit Colony, the DC met members of the Pandit community and listened to them.
He said the parks with the open gym facility, swings for the kids, benches, have the best possible recreational infrastructure available for the children and senior citizens of the colony.
He said that he was happy to inaugurate these parks, which he said were constructed and thrown open in a very short span of time.
The DC was accompanied by SE R&B, CPO, Executive Engineers of R&B, Tehsildar, DMO and other concerned officers and officials.
