DC conducts extensive tour of several areas of Kulgam

Takes stock of Snow clearance measures, restoration of services; visits healthcare facilities at PHC Nihama

KULGAM : To take first hand appraisal of the situation arising due to snowfall and restoration of essential services, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today conducted extensive tour of Nihama, Bathipora and other areas in the district and took stock of snow clearance operations and restoration of services.

During the tour, DC visited the sub-divisional control room of MED at Bathipora where the officers from MED and R&B briefed him about snow clearance in all Priority 01 roads and also informed that 95 percent of roads under priority 02 were also cleared.

Later, he also visited Farooq Ahmad Bhat Memorial (PHC Nihama) and took stock of patient care services at the hospital.

During the visit, DC also interacted with the staff and patients there.

He directed the officers to ensure round the clock availability of medical personnel at the hospital and to provide best possible patient care to the people.

He also inspected several wards and also took stock of the availability of medicines.

Concerned officer from the hospital briefed the DC about the services being provided to the patients at the hospital.

The DC was accompanied by ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; ACD, Mohammad Imran and officers from R&B and MED.
