DC Gbl chairs DLC meeting regarding finalization of projects under PMJVK scheme

GANDERBAL : To finalize the projects under PMJVK scheme of Ministry of Minority the Affairs, Govt of India, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee here in the V.C Room of DC Office Ganderbal.

During the meeting, the DC stressed on achieving the objectives of the scheme to fill the socio-economic gap of people of the district in different sectors like health, education, skill development, etc.
Highlighting the objective of the scheme, the DC said that PMJVK aims to improve socio-economic conditions in the identified minority concentration areas through community infrastructure development support and to provide basic amenities for improving quality of life of the people.
The DC directed all the concerned departments that apart from infrastructure projects in thrust areas of Education, Health, Skill Development and Women centric projects, priority shall also be given to emerging sectors of national importance like Sports, Sanitation, Solar Energy, Drinking Water projects, etc under PMJVK.
Three projects, one of education sector and two projects of the skill development department were finalized by the committee.
Meanwhile, District Social Welfare Officer was directed to upload these projects on Ministry’s portal.
The meeting was attended by Program Officer Loshan, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Manager Lead Bank, Principal ITI, Executive Engineer R&B, District Social Welfare Officer and others.
