DC Kulgam finalises preparations for ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign

Impressive celebration of the campaign to start from 9th August in the district

KULGAM : To finalise preparations for proper implementation of action plan of ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign, a meeting of officers was held today at mini-secretariat Kulgam under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, JDP Zahid Sajjad, ACD Mohammad Imran, ACR Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, ACP Shurjeel Ali, CEO, DIO, ZEOs, BDOs, and other officers.

At the outset, participants were briefed in detail about the events and themes planned under the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign including its components viz. Deep Dive-Silaphalakam, Vasudha Vandhan, Veeron Ka Vandan, hoisting of National Flag, singing of Rashtra Gaan and Panch Pran Pledge besides other activities.

It was shared that as part of the programme, memorial plaques have been placed across panchayats and wards of MCs to honor the national heroes of the country who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation.

Similarly, it was informed that under Vasudha Vandan, planting of at least 75 plant saplings in each Panchayat and ward of the district have been arranged.

During the meeting, an action plan for ‘Mitti-Yatras’ from Panchayats for construction of the National Memorial at Kartavya Path was also deliberated upon and preparations finalised.

The DC urged all concerned departments for ensuring a successful observance of the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ programme.
