KUPWARA : A meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) for the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) was held today at the main meeting Hall of DC Office complex Kupwara, which was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ms.Ayushi Sudan.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed and approved 1210 cases under various projects and components of the HADP.
Approved cases include 773 from the Agriculture department, 362 cases of Sericulture, 47 cases of Animal Husbandry, 23 cases of Sheep Husbandry and 5 cases of Fisheries Department.
This initiative is a significant step towards promoting agricultural development and its allied sectors and enhancing the livelihoods of the farming community in the district.
DDC Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on the occasion emphasized the importance of these projects in achieving sustainable agricultural growth in the district.
She highlighted the administration’s commitment to support farmers through comprehensive development programs and ensuring the efficient implementation of approved projects.
The District Development Officer directed concerned District Officers to closely oversee the establishment of HADP units in the field, carefully assessing their production, output and impact so that it is ensured that the programme achieves the tangible results contributing effectively to agriculture development.
The District Development Commissioner gave a target of registering at least 1000 farmers on the “Kisan aap” to the Field functionaries of concerned line departments including AEOs and field functionaries of Horticulture department, Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry departments.
DDC directed AEOs to monitor the progress of operating login credentials by the KKGs (Kisan Khidmat Ghars at the Panchayat level, registration of the farmers for the services under HADP and downloading of forms.
DDC Directed Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara to organize a training programme for KKGs at an earliest so that their skills and knowledge is enhanced.
She also directed Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kupwara to achieve the 100 % target of artificial insemination of animals. District Sheep Husbandry officer Kupwara was also directed to achieve 100 % target of vaccination during this month.
District development Commissioner directed Officers of line departments particularly AEOs to install digital signage/ sign boards/ citizen information boards on the offices so that the public can easily access these offices and are well informed about services.
