DC Kupwara flags off the inaugural event of Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan

KUPWARA : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today flagged off the inaugural event of Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan from Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kupwara. The initiative aims to accelerate agricultural development and awareness in the district as part of a broader national campaign to transform the agriculture sector. KVK Head, Dr. Kaiser Malik; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Mohammad Ashraf Malik; DSHO Kupwara, Dr. Ishrat and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Three teams have been constituted under Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan which will visit nine blocks of the district in the first instance to hold farmer awareness camps. The programme which started today will continue for 15 days and shall cover all panchayats of district Kupwara to ensure major outreach of different farmer welfare schemes like HADP to the targeted beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner Sudan emphasized the importance of disseminating modern agricultural practices and government schemes to the grassroots level. She appreciated the efforts of the KVK and allied departments in mobilizing resources for the benefit of local farmers. She impressed upon the officers to ensure coverage of all panchayats of the district especially border areas so that maximum farmers are benefitted from the government schemes.
The flagged-off teams will undertake awareness drives, demonstrations, and interactions with farmers across the district to promote sustainable agricultural practices, animal husbandry, and allied activities under the ambit of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan.
