DC Kupwara reviews Assured Minimum Facilities in Polling stations

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan who is also District Election Officer, on Thursday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in Polling Stations of the district.

The DC took a detailed review of the Assured Minimum facilities like drinking water, electricity, ramps, toilets, etc in polling stations in the district. She impressed upon the officers to ensure availability of the facilities on war footing basis as it is the statutory responsibility of all officers.

She directed the Ex. Engineer PHE to ensure the water facility at all Polling stations and by Monday submit a detailed report regarding the facilities.

Superintendent Engineer Jal Shakti Kupwara was directed to monitor the progress of providing facilities of drinking water in polling stations.

DC directed Ex. Engineer PDD to provide electric connections in all Polling stations and submit reports by Monday.

CEO Kupwara was directed for construction of ramps at polling stations which are without ramp facility.

ACP Kupwara was directed to get the ramps constructed in those Panchayats or Community Centres where polling stations are established.

EROs of polling stations were directed to submit certificates about assured minimum facilities in polling stations in the district as per the norms.

Meeting was attended by SE, Jal Shakti, SE, R&B, JD Planning, Ex. Engineer – R&B, Jal Shakti, PDD, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, ACR (Dy.DEO), Dy.CEO Kupwara and other concerned.
