DC Kupwara reviews progress under HADP, Dakshe Kissan

KUPWARA : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today held a meeting of concerned officers to review the status of implementation of different agricultural schemes in the district.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner took a comprehensive review of the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP), DAKSH Kisan, Kisan Khadmit Ghars (KKGs) and other schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to gear up the pace of enrolment of farmers to achieve the desired targets under Daksh Kissan and HADP. The officers were directed to facilitate the registration and enrollment of farmers to meet the targets as early as possible.
It was informed in the meeting that 33427 applications under HADP were received by Agriculture, Horticulture P&M, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Sericulture departments. Out of these, 27053 applications have been approved. Under DAKSH KISAN, 12853 farmers out of the target 21749 have been registered so far and 6185 farmers have completed the course.
To improve the overall enrollment of farmers under the Daksh Kissan, the Agriculture & allied departments were assigned targets. Each Kisan Khidmat Ghar will have to register 1000 farmers in their respective areas on Dakshe Kissan portal. Besides, each Area Extension Officer and BVO have been given a target of 300 and 400 registrations respectively. Similarly, the Fishers department will make 149 farmer registrations.
The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the officers to ensure 100% coverage of the HADP scheme adding that district Kupwara has a vast potential for agriculture and allied activities which will boost its employment generation scenario.
Meanwhile, the Officers were directed to mobilize field staff and Krishi Udayamis to achieve these targets in a time-bound manner and support farmers throughout the registration and certification process.
The meeting was attended by CPO, ,CAO CHO, CAHO, DSHO, AD Fisheries and other concerned officers.
