DC Shopian inspects ongoing dev. works Emphasises on creating durable assets in rural areas

SHOPIAN : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today visited various villages of the district to take stock of progress of MGNREGA and Capex works.
The DC inspected various works of rural development including construction of drainage networks, pathways and PMAY Housing units, among others.
He also inspected Anganwadi centres, CSCs and playfields and reviewed their working besides progress during the ensuing year.
DC passed directions to RDD officers and officials to execute the works in an efficient and more transparent way. He also emphasised on creation of durable assets in rural areas.
Gupta stressed for upkeep of proper sanitation and hygiene in rural areas.
Different public delegations also met him on the spot and apprised him of various issues of development and public welfare. He listened to them patiently and assured for redressal and appropriate action for genuine issues.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Shopian, Zakir Hussain; ACD, Shopian, BDO Shopian and other officers and officials accompanied.
