DC Srinagar reviews functioning of Revenue Department

Instructs Tehsildars to provide better services to public, ensure time bound & quality disposal of their issues

SRINAGAR : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting at Meeting Hall of the DC Office here to review the functioning of Revenue Department in order to ensure efficient and prompt public services to public in the District.
At the outset, the DC took a detailed review and progress of all Tehsils of the District on various Revenue matters.
On the occasion, the chair was given Tehsil wise appraisal about the Revenue related matters and services being provided to people.
The DC stressed the Officers to work with sincerity and dedication while redressing the public grievances to ensure their time bound, prompt and quality disposal. He stressed all the Tehsildars to ensure efficient and prompt delivery of public services to their best satisfaction as envisaged under Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA).
The DC also asked the Revenue Officers to monitor the process of revenue related activities in respective jurisdiction on periodical basis so that people do not face any inconvenience while availing revenue related services.
During the meeting, the DC was informed that as many as 82191 applications related to online services have been received by the District Administration through online mode in Srinagar District.
He was further informed that out of total applications received 56690 applications of different nature were accepted under PSGA stands cleared while only 2512 applications regarding online services are pending which are being processed on fast track basis.
Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Khalid Hussain, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, all Tehsildars and other senior functionaries of the Revenue Department of the District.
