DDC Ganderbal chairs Mega Block Diwas at Lar

GANDERBAL : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a Mega Block Diwas function at CFC building Lar to listen to the developmental issues of the people at their doorsteps.

Addressing the gathering, the DDC said that the District Administration is committed to ensure equitable development of all areas so that none is deprived of basic facilities in the district. He said that various schemes are in place, which are aimed at providing socio-economic support and self-employment opportunities to the unemployed educated youth and urged locals to take benefit of such schemes.

He said that majority services have been made available online with an aim to deliver the benefits of various Government schemes to the deserving people through transparent mode at their doorsteps.

Earlier, PRIs and local residents raised several developmental concerns including augmentation of water supply, development of roads, and better power infrastructure in their areas.

The DDC heard their issues patiently and directed the concerned officers to ensure that all genuine issues raised are resolved well in time.

While replying to the issues raised, DDC appreciated the PRIs for prioritizing the genuine concerns of the people and urged them to work with the same enthusiasm and monitor the ongoing developmental works personally so that they get completed on time.

The programme was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; CPO, Irfan Giri, ACD, Dr Bashir Ahmad besides, representatives from different departments, PRIs and locals from Block Lar
