DDC Ganderbal discusses Action plan for SANJY-2024

GANDERBAL : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Thursday presided over a crucial meeting at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here to discuss the comprehensive action plan for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024 (SANJY).

The meeting commenced with a thorough review and discussion of action plans submitted by various departments. Focus areas included the upgradation of facilities such as health services, sanitation, flood protection measures, lighting, parking areas, mobile connectivity, transport services, contingency plans, and other related infrastructure to ensure a seamless and foolproof execution of SANJY-2024.

HODs of all concerned departments provided updates on their preparations and the progress of works related to the Yatra. The DC emphasized the need for the early execution of all development works to guarantee the smooth conduct of Yatra 2024.

Officers also shared their experiences from the previous year’s arrangements for SANJY, offering valuable suggestions to enhance essential services for the successful conduct of the Yatra.

Addressing the issue of mobile connectivity, the DC directed telecom companies to submit a plan well in advance, specifically focusing on augmenting capacity at Base Camp Baltal and along the Yatra tract from Domail onwards.

Following a detailed discussion, the DC issued necessary instructions to all departments associated with the Yatra via the Baltal route. They were directed to submit updated action plans prioritizing works that needed upgradation to further enhance various essential services during the Yatra period.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ADC Gulzar Ahmad, CPO Irfan Giri, ACR , ACD, Executive Engineers of various wings, DFO Sindh Forest Division, and officers from other line departments.
