DDC Kupwara reviews progress under Jal Jeevan Mission

Kupwara : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned engineers to review the progress achieved under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.

SE, Hydraulic Circle Kupwara, Sunil Sharma appraised the chair through a detailed PowerPoint presentation about scheme wise progress achieved under JJM in the district.

It was apprised in the meeting that 15 schemes have been completed in the district under JJM till date and 55 more will be completed by end of June 2024.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon all the concerned engineers to gear up the pace of work and ensure completion of all ongoing schemes within the stipulated time frame so that the people in large are benefitted under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission of the Government.

DDC directed JJM engineers to restore the roads damaged during the laying of the pipelines on priority and take the road owning agencies into confidence before laying of the pipelines.

Chief Engineer PHE, Vivek Kohli , CPO Kupwara Parvaiz Ahmad Lone ,DPMU- JJM Kupwara, Executive Engineers of PHE,PMGSY, R&B , DFOs, AEEs and other concerned attended the meeting.
