DDC Kupwara reviews progress under Mission Amrit Sarovar programme, GPDP

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the developmental activities under Mission Amrit Sarovar Programme and to discuss the modalities for preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan 2023-24.

It was informed in the meeting that 682 works have been identified on Amrit Sarovar Portal for all 24 blocks of the district. Out of which 445 works have been taken up for execution; of which 354 works stands completed till date.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the officers to work with added zeal and dedication and ensure completion of all the ongoing works within a week’s time.

During the meeting, the DDC also discussed the modalities for preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan(GPDP) for the year 2023-24.

The DDC said that GPDP planning process has to be comprehensive and based on participatory process which involves the full convergence with Schemes of all related Central Ministries and Line Departments to ensure development at grassroot level.

The DDC directed the officers to work in tandem for proper implementation of the GPDP so that better results could be yielded in ground.

JD Planning, ACD, ACP, DFOs, District Officers, XENs of various disciplines and other concerned attended the meeting.
